Integral AI participated in the Cooking Robotics Workshop at ICRA 2024, held on May 17, 2024, at PACIFICO Yokohama. Jad Tarifi, CEO & Co-founder of Integral AI, delivered a spotlight talk on the company’s work, Cafe Robot: Integrated AI Skillset Based on Large Language Model. The Cafe Robot takes orders via natural language interaction and prepares tea, coffee, and cakes using AI-developed skills such as Liquid Pouring, Powder Scooping, and Cutting. A Task Planner orchestrates dialogue, planning, code generation, and action coordination to deliver smooth and efficient performance. It also got featured in Video Friday: Robots With Knives of IEEE Spectrum on the same day.

Integral AI’s presentation was part of a broader discussion on how advanced robotics can revolutionize the food industry in response to labor shortages, economic disparities, and heightened hygiene standards in the post-COVID world. The workshop provided a platform for researchers to share cutting-edge solutions and explore real-world challenges in cooking automation.
